  • If you are a current student of BYUH, you are eligible for a cellphone plan.

  • You must upload a valid BYUH ID card on the request form.

  • Yes. You will enter your carrier information on the request form.

  • You are eligible to activate up to four lines.

  • No. All new activations for students and their Ohana are on the prepaid plan.

  • Yes. Complete the request form and be sure to select the correct option.

  • Yes, there is a $30.00 non-refundable activation fee for each line that must be paid with card.

  • The $30.00 non-refundable activation fee must be paid for with card, upon completing the request form. The prepaid plan will be charged to your student account.

  • BYUH Cellphone will email you 30 days before the end of your prepaid plan with options to renew. If the BYUH Store does not hear back from you by the end of your prepaid period, your line will be canceled. There will be a $15.00 reactivation fee charge to reactivate your line.

  • Before moving forward, it is recommended that you check to see if your phone is compatible. Click on the carrier below, you will need your IMEI #. To find your IMEI, dial *#06# from your phone.

    T-Mobile

  • After we have received your completed online form, we will work to activate your SIM card. This can take up to two to three business days. You will be notified by email for pickup or shipping.

  • If you are an alumnus of BYUH, you are eligible for a cellphone plan.
  • When completing the request form online, you will be required to upload your alumni card. If you don’t have an alumni card, please contact Alumni Relations to see how you can obtain one.
  • Yes. You will enter your carrier information on the online form.
  • You are eligible to activate up to six lines.
  • Yes, there is a $30.00 non-refundable activation fee.
  • You will be invoiced each month. Invoices are due on the last day of the month.

    You will have the option to save your payment method for auto payment. Auto payments are processed on the last day of the month. If the last day of the month falls on the weekend or university holiday, the auto payment will be processed on the next business day. Keep in mind the next business day will be in the next month.

Before submitting a request form for a new, upgrade, or replaced phone; it is required that you receive approval from your department director/manager. After your request is submitted, your request will be sent to your department director/manager to review and approve your request before the order is submitted.
  • You can check your cloud to see if you have any information saved. It is recommended that you update your phone and have your contacts, messages, photos, videos, and etc. backed up daily or as often as possible.
  • If your phone was purchased by the department, it will be up to the department director/manager to determine if the phone can be used within the department or sold.
  • If you are a current employee of Polynesian Cultural Center, you are eligible. You will be asked to upload your PCC ID on the request form.
  • Yes. You will enter your carrier information on the online form.
  • There is no limit on the amount of lines you want to activate.
  • Yes, there is a $30.00 non-refundable activation fee.

  • If you are a admin, faculty, staff, or retiree of BYU–Hawaii, you are eligible for a cellphone or watch plan with BYU–Hawaii.

  • If we aren’t able to identify your eligibility through our university system, we may ask for your BYUH ID card.

  • Yes. The non-refundable activation fee is for each new line of service.
  • Our cellphone hours change each semester based on the students schedule. We can also be reached by email at cellphone@byuh.edu

    For SIM card pick-up ONLY, we may schedule you to stop by outside of our desk hours, your email will have the pick-up day and time details.
  • We will inform you of your options. Your options can be where you are billed the early termination fee, pay a higher price for the phone, or be charged 3% processing fee to refund your order. We recommend that you check to be sure your line is eligible for an upgrade if you aren’t sure.
  • Yes, there is. The end user agreements for each of the different carriers are listed below. We recommend you taking the time to read it.

    • AT&T will provide a card with instructions in the box for you to go to their website to activate the phone. See AT&T's activation instructions.
    • T-Mobile customers must email cellphone@byuh.edu with the IMEI # and EID or ICCID #. This can be found on the back of the new phone box.
    • Verizon will have the phones ready to go. All you’ll need to do is turn on the phone.
  • You can check your Cloud to see if you have any information saved. It is recommended that you update your phone and have your contacts, messages, photos, videos, and etc., backed up daily or as often as possible.
  • It’s up to you. On the form it will ask if you want to pick-up at the BYU–Hawaii Store or have it shipped to you. You will provide the shipping information on the form.
